From the Governor's Desk: Dear Fraternal Brothers & Sisters, In and around the Lodge, July was a good month. Usually this time of year there isn't much going on, but that sure wasn't the case this past month. It started off with our float winning 1st place (Fraternal Organization Division) as the most Patriotic Theme Float in the 4th of July parade. The next weekend was the "Make-A-Wish" Foundation Benefit. It was a huge success. Thanks to all who worked the event and to those who donated items for the auction. Then the third weekend our Lodge Legionnaires had their Golf Tournament and again things went great. If you haven't been attending our functions, it's your loss. A couple of weeks ago we had a "smoke eater" installed in the Social Quarters. It has really made a difference. Our plan now is to get another one for te dining room by fall. When the 'Snow-Birds' get here the problem should be taken care of..... ....An old saying came to me as I watched all the work going on Saturday at the "Make-A-Wish" Benefit.
